Cleantech company Numbat focuses on new technologies and operates a unique combination of high-power charger for EVs (Electric Vehicles) and sustainable battery storage. What makes it special is that Numbat can be installed anywhere, anytime, without network problems or huge construction costs that are typically incurred when expanding fast-charging infrastructure. For Goldbach, in addition to the two integrated 75-inch screens, the sustainable aspect of the battery storage is also relevant. This gives Goldbach access to one of the most sustainable advertising media in the DOOH sector and, as a national marketer, will include the screens in its portfolio in the future. The cooperation represents a major step forward for the German DOOH market. In a sustainable and rapidly growing e-mobility era, fast-charging pillars are becoming relevant advertising media, thus also opening up new areas such as supermarket parking lots that were previously rather difficult to access.
In concrete terms, the cooperation means in the first step the national marketing of more than 600 systems with two screens each in 2023. Due to the increasing number of e-cars on German roads and the associated high demand for “Numbats”, the number of fast charging infrastructures will rise sharply in the coming years. Food retailers in particular benefit from this development, as fast charging of e-cars alongside shopping is uncomplicated and easy to integrate into everyday life. The cleantech company Numbat, for example, already announced that it would be equipping supermarket chains Feneberg and tegut…, among others, with fast-charging infrastructure throughout Germany.
The roll-out of the first systems will begin as early as the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023. Numbat’s goal is to expand throughout the DACH region and subsequently throughout Europe. In addition to a network of fast-charging infrastructure, this also creates a network of new DOOH advertising spaces.
“With Goldbach as a professional in the field of DOOH at our side, we can open up new markets together. The topic of digital outdoor advertising reaches a whole new level with our fast-charging infrastructure and screens in Germany. We are looking forward to working with this experienced company and are convinced of the resulting synergy effect,” says Martin Schall, Co-Founder/Managing Director of Numbat.
