With the Global EnergyTech Awards, the consulting firm Publicis Sapient has launched an international competition to bring together the best ideas and talents in the global energy industry. Today, the winners were chosen during a virtual award ceremony. Awards were given to start-ups and innovators from around the world who are making a positive contribution to the future of our society, economy and planet.
The award categories cover the entire life cycle of the energy sector. Here are the winners:
- Best Smart Network Solution: Vyntelligence
Vyntelligence offers a “mobile-first” solution that enables field workers and customers to capture short videos and multimedia data of jobs and assets in the field. This can optimize quality and safety and create a better customer experience. - Best Electronic Vehicle Customer Solution: Mina(UK)
The Edison platform developed by Mina simplifies the process of paying for electric vehicle charging at home, at work and in public places. Fleets can thus be converted to electric vehicles on a large scale. As a result, there are fewer petrol and diesel vehicles on the roads, which in turn benefits the environment. - Mobile Customer Experience:BatteryXchange
BatteryXchange is an ecosystem of battery exchange services that allows end users to rent batteries to charge their mobile devices on the go for free. - Best Solution in Energy Trading: AirCarbon Exchange
AirCarbon Exchange is a blockchain-based trading platform that brings greater efficiency, transparency and security to the carbon market. This is achieved at a much lower cost than traditional carbon trading. - Best Use of Data & Insights:Solytic
Solytic has made it its mission to make photovoltaics easy and profitable for everyone to use. The digital platform enables customers to reduce costs, increase yields and extend the life of their solar systems from day one. - Best CleanTech:Virtual Global Trading AG
The Virtual Global Trading platform offers energy producers, consumers and “prosumers” a new way to exchange energy with each other. - Standout Performer:Vyntelligence
Of all the entries, Vyntelligence particularly impressed the jury with its innovative strength and therefore receives this special award.
The award winners were selected by a jury consisting of high-ranking industry experts. The international team of judges included Damian Bunyan (CIO, Uniper), Devrim Celal (CEO, KrakenFlex: Part of Octupus Energy), Elvira Fabrizio (SVP Digital & IT, Eni), Paul Massara (Associate, Creative Destruction Labs), Dan Reinbold (VP, Information Services, Plains), Masud Haq (SVP, Publicis Sapient), Shailesh Joshi (SVP, Publicis Sapient) and Joe Tabita (Energy Lead, EMEA & APAC, Publicis Sapient).
The winners will receive a showcase at VivaTech 2022, Europe’s largest start-up and tech event, and an editorial feature in WIRED magazine 11/2021. They can also expect a 1-to-1 mentoring session with a jury member and a workshop with Publicis Sapient’s digital business transformation experts on scaling and accelerating products or solutions.
