Founded in 2017 by Robert and Matthew Bray, Brayfoil Technologies is based on 15 years of research and development in biomimicry and composite design with a vision to change the way wings and airfoils work. The basic intellectual property portfolio was created by studying the flight behavior of Cape vultures and the shapes their wings create, and mimicking them in a simple and universally applicable way.

The development path has taken the team through many iterations of this technology to find the ideal application area and deployment process. Their goal is to develop technologies that work in harmony with nature through adaptive mechanics and to dramatically increase the adoption of renewable technologies by reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
